Pregnancy Workouts You Should Probably Pass On

I was reading an article today about how women who are pregnant should exercise.  It goes on to mention that a healthy lifestyle while pregnant will better you chances against having complications such as an emergency c-section, gestational diabetes and the such.

We, at BellyButtonBoutique.com, fully endorse the recommendation for a healthy lifestyle, but believe there are some activities that pregnant women should probably pass on.

Sword fighting – While this woman clearly knows what she is doing, others new to this art might want to wait until their center of gravity returns before trying to balance on one leg while holding swords.

Hunting ISIS or Any Terrorist Organization – Women are all powerful.  And being able to handle yourself in any situation is definitely a plus.  But I wait until after delivery before heading back to Seal Team 6 training.

Dancing Ballet on Pointe – Again, center of gravity issues.  Just skip it.

Advance Yoga Poses – If you are new to yoga, you might want to stay away from this pose all together…even after the baby.  Wait until you have the sun salutation down first.

There are tons of other options such as prenatal yoga, swimming, walking and running.  If you plan on doing any of the activities listed above, you may want to check with your OBGYN first.
